Why Join the Show?
Steampunk is all about imagination, creativity, and camaraderie—and our fashion show is the perfect stage to showcase your one-of-a-kind look!
- All Levels Welcome: From hand-sewn masterpieces to artfully assembled store-bought ensembles, your costume is your story. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert seamstress; it’s the flair that counts!
- All People Welcome: No matter your size, age, or experience level, we celebrate YOU. Everyone deserves a moment in the spotlight!
- Express Your Character: Dive into your role as an intrepid adventurer, mad scientist, shady spy, automaton, or whatever tickles your steamy fancy.
- Optional Theme: Our convention theme this year is “Steampunk Halloween” so feel free to incorporate the spooky, hunted, or otherworldly themes if you like – but you’re not required to incorporate the theme to participate.
How It Works:
- Pre-register: You must pre-register to participate. Sorry, no walk-ins—this show runs like clockwork, after all. 😉
- Share Your Vision: When you register, tell us about your costume and character. Need help with a backstory? Our crew will lend a hand—because nothing says teamwork like building a steampunk bio.
- Send Us Details: We’ll need a photo or description of your costume to help select music and set the show’s flow.
- Have Fun! The Fashion Show isn’t a competition; it’s a celebration of creativity and community.

Think of the MC as your biggest fan—they’ll introduce you with a short bio. Make it as wild, whimsical, or mysterious as you like. (Airship captains do tend to have the best stories!) - Music and Mood
Got a tune in mind that fits your vibe? Let us know when you register! We’ll do our best to match it. - What if I’m nervous?
Fear not! Steampunk is all about having fun and supporting one another. You’ll be among friends. - Can I bring props?
Absolutely! Whether it’s a parasol, ray gun, or mechanical arm, props add pizzazz. Just be mindful of safety—no live steam, please and no actual weapons that could be dangerous. - What if I have mobility issues?
We have an ADA-Compliant ramp (it is of a height that may require someone to push you, and you are welcome to ask a friend to help you with this.) Please let us know of any issues you may need help with as we would love to see you join the Fashion Show! - What about other panels I might want to attend?
As the WWWC Fashion Show is one of our most popular events so this year we are making an effort to minimize the number other panels and events that might occur during the Fashion Show! We’re releashing the schedule far in advance of WWWC so you can check it just to be sure.
